WEEKLY UPDATE

JULY 9, 2018

Hey family!! Glad you all had a good 4th, looked like lots of fun. We both got the packages from you guys, thank you so much!! I really appreciated it, and Elder Gunsay was really appreciative too. I love you guys!

So this past week was awesome! Probably like the fastest week of my mission, we were just so busy, holy cow. Tuesday was crazy too. So we finally had a lesson with this super promising couple, their names are Thaomee and Yang Chue. Thaomee isn't a member, but Yang is. We met them, and had a really awesome lesson about families and the temple, and then we put her on date for baptism at the end of the lesson! Aug. 22! The only problem is they aren't coming to church because they both work at the same place on Sundays... but we are going to work through the problem, haha. So that was at 9 in the morning, cuz that's the only time they could meet with us. After that, I led a district meeting that I probably wasn't as prepared for as I should've been, but it went well. It was tough because we had to push personal study back for the lesson. After that, had a quick lunch, did some comp study, and then had a lesson with Shane (ntxoov oos) and his wife Becki! We taught the Plan of Salvation, and it was actually a really good lesson. We talked to them about baptism too; Becki was kinda against it, but Shane was open to the idea if he finds these things to be true... which is like, we can't ask for anything better, haha. So that was cool, and they thanked us for being really cool too, cuz they have met with a lot of other missionaries from other churches, and we were the nicest and coolest... probably cuz were from Jesus Christ's church, haha. After that, it was like 3 in the afternoon, and we finally got some personal study... and then had another lesson after that, then met with a member who spoke, and man we were just slammed. Such a good day!

The 4th was really good too, although it felt nothing like a holiday... what we did was we helped 2 niam tais (grandmas) ua teb (farm). It was pretty fun. I have a lot of respect for Hmong niam tais. They farm like all day long, every day, just for fun, cuz that's what they do back in Laos. Also, she gave us this huge cucumber to eat, haha. After that, we came back for lunch, and it was the 4th so we had to grill... and we had this llama steak in our freezer for a while, so we decided why not grill it up on the grill... it was disgusting. Looks really good, but was soooooo bad, haha. But that's ok, cuz that night we had to come in early, so the other elders came over and we grilled up some dang good burgers and had a lights show with our Christmas lights that are hung up in our living room.... we couldn't see any fire works, so that's the best we could get haha.
Thursday I know was a good day too, but I don't remember too much... we helped a member move a ton of rice and what not, then he took us out for pho after. It was a good day.

Friday we weekly planned and taught the Hmong class and helped a member set up for a wedding reception, which was on Saturday. So the next day, we went to the reception cuz they invited us and free Hmong food is always good, so we go and show up at 1:30 (it was supposed to start at 1) and hadn't had lunch, and we didn't eat until 3:30!!!! That's Hmong people for ya, they just love to talk and talk and talk. There was so much food, but it just sat there for like 2 hours while they had this whole program type deal. The food was way good though, thankfully we didn't have dinner cuz I was full for the rest of the day haha. So that was most of Saturday. Also explained some pretty deep doctrine to a former Hmong investigator about the Holy Ghost, and did it in Hmong, so I felt like I had the gift of tongues then. Hoping she's not offended. We were pretty straightforward and said the only way to have the gift of the Holy Ghost is being baptized into our church, haha. It's true though.

Yesterday was really good too. We had a bunch of YSA kids come up from Sacramento to be in the branch, so we were pushing probably like 50-60 people. It was awesome, and Bee came too. We have been working with him since I got here. He just started coming back to church this transfer. He is the type of guy who just stays home and plays video games every single day all day long, and doesn't work or go to school or anything... just plays video games, so it's awesome that he's started coming back to church. I had to teach gospel doctrine though, and there was a ton of people! But like, only 2 people would talk!! Nobody participated, and I have to just like stand in the front and teach in Hmong all by myself! It was so hard, but i think it went alright... some people thanked me for the lesson, said they learned something, so I think the spirit was there. Afterwards, we never have too much time, we did some finding and met an English guy who was really mean. I hate it when people tell me what I believe. Most of the time what they say is like so out there too... like this guy said "it says in the bible to not let people who teach the false Jesus into your house" and i was like, ok I'm done and just walked away from his doorstep, haha. I love people like that. Anyways, it is pretty funny, cuz like I don't think I've ever got mad at anyone because of what they believe, haha. Had some more pho for dinner with the Xiong family. It was really good. All in all, it was an awesome week. I feel like I had a lot of prayers answered, and I came to the realization that even though there are not a lot of outward results that I see coming from my work, my work still has value. It's still helping people, even without the baptisms... and that made me really happy, cuz a lot of times it's hard, especially lately because Pres. Ward has been putting a huge emphasis on baptisms, and said to Elder Gunsay during interviews that the work isn't going good unless we're baptizing people.... but in my opinion the work is going good, haha. Lots of potential. I still love Pres. Ward though, he is just putting a huge emphasis on baptism lately. We have zone conference this Wednesday too, so that will be fun.

Love you guys, hope everyone has a good week!

Hlub nej!

I'M NOT VERY GOOD AT COMING UP WITH SUBJECT LINES

JULY 2, 2018

Hey Family!!!! This past week was a good one; well, most weeks as a missionary are good. But lots of exciting stuff! hopefully this email will make sense, it might just be all over the place.

But, we had an awesome lesson with a guy named Ntxoov Oos, or his English name is Keith. He read like 4 chapters out of the Book of Mormon and read the entire testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith pamphlet!! We had an awesome discussion with him this past week. Then on Friday, we had interviews with President Ward, and he only asked one question, and that was who I felt like was going to be baptized in the next 8 weeks... so I answered that this guy would, and he told us to like make a huge plan for his baptism and what has to happen, so we did, even though we've only had like 2 good lessons with him so far, haha. But exciting stuff! So that was on Thursday we met with him, and then later that day we had an awesome lesson with this real cool guy named John's sister, who is less-active. John is way cool, he will like go out with us once a week and drive us around and come to like a few lessons with us, I love him. He got back from his mission to Minnesota a year ago. But while he was gone, his sister went inactive, and he wanted us to go and be straight up and bold with her, so we did, and it was actually a pretty awesome lesson!! Being bold pays off. He said a few days later they were still talking about our lesson,  haha. So that was cool.

Other stuff, Tuesdays district meeting went well I think. I always don't really know what to do, but it seems to go alright every time. Wednesday wasn't the best day, but that's ok. Friday we weekly planned. Saturday we finished weekly planning and then went to work teaching people. Nothing really comes to mind at the moment, but it was a good day. Sunday was church, the branch was really small.. like 25 people. It was really sad. The branch has so many less actives, and the numbers have been decreasing gradually and steadily for a long while now. It's pretty sad. The members are kinda getting worried, and so a lot of what we're trying to do too is just visit and help the members... cuz they really need it. Saturday we had an awesome lunch with the Chue family. I love them so much. They were the only family that showed up for the weekly Hmong class. So that was sad, but it was still fun ... played some good bingo. Then Sunday, we had a miracle when we had like an hour cuz an appointment fell through. We hadn't found any new investigators all week, and then we tried a former investigator and her and her son were interested again!! So that was a miracle.

In my studies, I've been studying a lot about Jesus Christ, specifically from Jesus the Christ. Read a lot of the parables this past week, and the one that stuck out is called the parable of the seed growing secretly. If you're not too familiar with that one, that's ok cuz it's not one of the more well known ones. Basically what happens is that the sower sows a seed, then leaves for a while, the seed grows, then he comes back for the harvest. The moral of the story was that the man couldn't control whether or not this seed grew; even if like he watered it and weeded, or if, as the book put it, Paul the apostle tended it and Apollos watered it. They still can't control how and if it grows- that's up to God. I loved that analogy. In many ways, I'm the sower, trying to spread the good news of the gospel with everyone... yet I can't control other people, whether or not they will grow their faith; I can do things to help, but ultimately it is up to them and God. It was really reassuring. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that the teachings and parables He taught apply to our lives.

I love you guys!! Thanks for all of the support!!

So this is like a sticky rice patty things. You just cook it on the stove and eat it with like honey or syrup. It's wrapped in banana leaves, and it's way good. A member gave us a ton of them. Made for a good lunch today, haha.

This morning we had a bunch of maggots coming out of our carpet.

Missionaries in other countries and parts of the U.S. always get pics of the cool stuff around them and like all this beautiful scenery or city scape, so I decided to get a picture of Oroville... very natural beauty, haha.

But on the real though, there are a few good looking places around here, haha.

WEEK 2 IN OROVILLE

JUNE 25, 2018

Hey family!!! Hope you're all doing well. I'd give this past week a solid 11/10. Well, maybe like a 9 yog kuv hais tiag tiag. But things are good here in Oroville cuz it's lots of fun and there's lots of Hmong people. This past week we took a ton of time for finding, and we only found like 1 new person to teach... and they weren't very promising. But that is ok, because we've been working hard. On Wednesday, we had the assistants come to our area, and Elder Goodman came to our district meeting. It was awesome. I love that guy. The AP's gave us a challenge to pass out a whole box of Book of Mormons as a zone that day, so that was like 7 BoMs each... we got out like 4, which was really good, haha. Wednesday night we had a dinner too, which was nice. Not too many dinners here, but it's ok because I like to be able to eat what I want. But at that dinner we had crabby, which is a fish Hmong people love to eat... except they just like took the entire fish and deep fried it and threw it out there to eat. We just used our hands, and there was a bunch of bones, haha.. it was actually really good, I just wasn't good at eating it because of the bones, so they thought I didn't like it, haha. I don't know why, we just get a bunch of weird food up here in Oroville, haha. Thursday, Elder Gunsay wasn't really feeling it. One thing I realized between my time away from him is that he gets frustrated/angry fairly easily. It's good though, cuz I know when he is frustrated and I know what to do, haha, so we get along well.

But anyway, on Thursday, we decided to make some flyers and just drop them off door to door, cuz like we've tried knocking doors so much. We basically just hit as many Hmong houses as we could. Hopefully someone will contact us. Friday we weekly planned and taught our Hmong class. It's really cool because we have a family of 3 who come who aren't members, and so that was really cool. Then Saturday, I went on exchanges with Elder Bradfield in my district. We came out together. We had a really good meeting with a member to help them share the gospel. It was awesome. Also, had a dinner with the English ward, and of course they wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant, hahahah. I just cant escape Asian food.

Sunday was really cool. We had branch council, so all of the stake members came there. On Friday, Elder Gunsay felt like we needed to work more with the less active members, cuz there are a ton in this area. Then on Sunday, after church we had a branch coordination meeting, and all of the leaders from the stake and branch felt like we needed to work more with the less active members as well. So it was cool to see how we received like some revelation before they actually told us. So I'm really pumped for this upcoming week and the opportunity to help the less active members. We also had a less active named Bee come with us to church this past Sunday too! He has come for the past 2 weeks I've been here, and before that, he hadn't been to church in years. Also, found out from Elder Vang that the Xiong family decided they are just going to be baptized because that's what they want for their family and they know it's true, even if his dad doesn't want him to!!! So that is so awesome, cuz I love them so much! Also, another family Elder Gunsay and I had worked with a little back in Wheatland decided they wanted to be baptized too, so they have a lot going on down there and it's nice to see that my work down there is at least paying off for them. Makes me feel good, knowing that even if I didn't see the fruits, my work was still valuable.

In other news, we played a huge game of Catan with everyone and I won, haha. I still got some of my catan skills. Also, ELder Gunsay is really lonely. Anna, Nat and Sarah ... can you guys write him a letter? I think that would make him really happy, haha. Love you guys!!!

Love, Elder Muaj Koob
 Played scrabble in Hmong too

Here's a huge thaj neeb we saw in someones house this past week. It was cool because they are old culture but they still wanted us to pray for them.

OROVILLE

JUNE 18, 2018

Hey Family!!! Sorry it has taken me so long to get an email out, but I made it to Oroville!! Everyone in the mission thinks it is like the most ghetto place in the mission and often times people don't want to come here, but honestly I have loved it so far!! Our apartment is a little bit bigger than the one in Wheatland. We're in the same complex with 2 other sets of elders (Elder Bishop is the zone leader, love that guy). We have all the basic necessities that Wheatland sometimes lacked... like lots of good places to eat, lots of places to go shopping, lots of good stuff. The branch here is so awesome too! That's probably the best part, we only do Hmong work, and the Hmong branch is a little bit bigger here. Everyone isn't one big family too, which is a lot different. And, on top of that, everyone speaks White Hmong!! Which is great, because that is so much easier to understand! There's just so much I could talk about. I'm gonna try to just get the highlights.

Transferred on Tuesday, it was really sad to say goodbye to Elder Vang. We mostly just like did some service and shopped and what not. Visited a less active family and gave 2 blessings to some little kids, all in Hmong. So that was pretty cool. I really like giving blessings in Hmong.

Wednesday was district meeting, first time leading it out. It went well from my perspective, haha. We really have a great district. Everyone is really wanting to work hard and it's great. We made some good goals, and by the end of the week we had hit all of our goals ... even though Elder Gunsay and I didn't have anyone come to sacrament and didn't find any new investigators... so the district is awesome.

Also, we have some pretty good investigators that we're working with. They're fairly promising, and hopefully we will help some of them get on date this week.

We don't have too many dinners up here, which is kinda sad. But there's not very many Hmong members here, so that's ok. We have a grill here, so I grill a lot of chicken, which is nice, haha.

Other highlights, we ate with the branch president and they served us chicken feet, pictured below. Probably the weirdest thing I've eaten now, haha. It was alright. That was on Saturday night. They asked us to speak in sacrament the next day. So we did, and then I was the one who taught Gospel Doctrine, so that was fun, haha. I felt like I had the gift of tongues while I was teaching. I could just understand everyone a lot better... probably cuz they speak white Hmong, haha.

I can't remember much else, but shoot me whatever questions you have, haha. Love you guys!!

TRANSFER TO OROVILLE

JUNE 11, 2018

Hey Family! So yeah I'm being transferred to Oroville, so that's cool. This week, I'm gonna do my group email through pictures. Sorry it might not be long, but I've been super busy...

I'll just go in order:

Kang and Sia: I love these two sisters so much. Holy cow. They are sisters, and Kang has the shorter hair. She would come with us to all the lessons. She is ib tug phab ej (superhero). Sia is her sister and is single and way good at cooking. She provided us with a lot of meals. I hope she finds a great husband someday. She also speaks the fastest green Hmong I've ever heard, totally freaked me out my first week.

Long and Kendra: These guys are amazing. I love them, they are such great examples of living the gospel. Their family didn't want them to be married in the church. They wanted a cultural marriage. They knew the church was true though, so they snuck off and got sealed in the Oakland Temple. Also, Kendra's story for getting to America is amazing too, but not enough time to tell it.

Brother and Sister Fowles: I love these guys. We ate dinner with them last night. The American Heritage Youth Choir was here to perform, and we ate with a few of them too. It was a good time. Bro. Fowles was the elders quorum president for Wheatland, really funny and awesome.

Michael: Elders quorum pres. for Hmong. I love him too. He is awesome and super missionary oriented. Most well of of the Vang brothers... he never really fed us, but we always knew he cared, haha. He lives kinda far away, in Loma Rica.

The Booths: Well everyone should know Jasmine and Michael, but also Michael's little sister, Kiana, is pictured too. She came to church a lot of times.

Grandpa Thao: I love this old guy, even though he is so hard to understand for me, haha. He has really had a lot of hard trials in his life, and every Sunday we would go take him the sacrament. This past Sunday, we spoke in sacrament meeting, and his wife was there and we had like no time for anything. We had skipped lunch and we were starving, and Elder Vang just mentioned we were hungry as like a joke in his talk, and we get there to give him the sacrament and she had made lunch for us. Miracle.

Xiong family (Mai was at work): Man this was like the saddest goodbye. I love these guys with all my heart. I'm gonna miss them so much. They are amazing, just like some of my best friends here. They are doing amazing things and have changed so much, I love them!!!!

There's more pictures of people on my camera, but so far that's all I got for now. Probably have a lot more next week. But this past week was amazing and bittersweet, for sure. I'm so sad to leave everyone and leave Wheatland, but super stoked for the new adventure. Also, saw a lot of miracles this past week. Maribell, maybe you remember her, came to church this past week, it was crazy. Also, my whole time here, we've been working with a less active guy named Brother Kitler, and his family is way cool, but he hasn't come to church since I've been here... and they are moving down south, so on Saturday we were able to help him do a lot of good service to get ready for his house to rent, and then on Sunday HE JUST SHOWED UP TO CHURCH!!!! It was like so crazy. We didn't even like invite him or tell him to or anything. Miracle. Also, got a new 2nd counselor, Brother Shumway, and I love that guy. He is so awesome. Bore such a strong testimony.

Also, last pic. To celebrate training being over, we bought a tri-tip steak and grilled it up on the stove for dinner Saturday. It's been a great week.

Love you guys!

MIRACLES

JUNE 4, 2018

Hey family! Glad you guys are all doing well! This past week was awesome!!! We had a lot of good stuff happen. It I had to summarize this past week, I would probably say a lot of meetings and service and not a lot of proselyting. But that is ok, cuz we still tried to use our time as best we could.

Tuesday, we were able to help the Martinez family again, it was good. Mostly just helped with their house. After that, we were super busy with studies. You may have seen our advertisements for the Hmong reading class, and we had it for the first time last Tuesday. It went well! We had 2 families from the branch there, and it was honestly such a fun time! The kids were super into it. We had some good competitions, and it was tons of fun. The video we put on Facebook got like close to 2k views, and we have had a ton of support from the branch, so we're hoping that there will be more people tomorrow, hopefully some nonmembers too!

Wednesday was zone conference! It was a good one too, focused on member missionary work. Pres. Ward had a ton of good stuff about it, and lots of good advice for what to do right after we get transferred too. So like, if I got transferred next week, I wouldn't be mad about it i guess, cuz he gave us a ton of good advice about how to start off on the right foot.

Thursday, we implemented that training! Called both ward mission leaders and set up to meet with the bishop and branch president. Also had district meeting, which was fun. Basically talked about the same stuff again. Highlight though, we got to go teach a part of seminary!!! It was awesome, even though they started at 6:30 in the  morning, haha. We talked about how to gain an answer to the Book of Mormon, and I really felt the Spirit as we were talking. Man, it was awesome. Some of the kids were like basically asleep, but that's ok. Hopefully we touched some of their hearts.

Friday, we finally met with our ward mission leader!!! He was called 3 weeks ago, this was the first contact we had with him. It was really good. He is a really busy guy, and is really old and animated, Bishop Capps. Good guy though, passionate about the work. It will be good. He took us to a Mexican restaurant in Wheatland too. It was really good. After that, we pretty much just weekly planned and then studied Hmong and what not. Also had a bomb dinner with the Neves family. I love them so much. She is soooooo good at making food. Like holy cow. And she sent us home with like 10 different kinds of fruit, cuz she was like "I'm worried you guys live in California and you haven't had any fruit yet cuz California produces all the fruit but its too expensive." So shout out to Sister Neves. She also did the food for zone conference, best zone conference lunch yet. Also, the Hmong elders got to eat with Pres. Ward. It was pretty fun. good guy.

Saturday was probably the highlight of the week. We had a lesson with the Xiong family, and Kang came too. Kang is probably the most missionary minded, awesome member in the Hmong branch; she's just amazing. Her husband isn't a member though because his dad forbids him to be baptized. So it's really tough for her, and her husband doesn't really come to church or anything, but she is just so strong. So anyway, we have this lesson, and Elder Vang and I had prayed before and were really feeling like we should talk about baptism with them, even though Phengs dad doesn't want him to be baptized. Pheng was basically saying like he gives the rest of his family permission to be baptized, but that he would just wait until his dad passes away, and then Kang stepped in. We had been speaking in English the whole lesson, but then she switched to Hmong and bore the most powerful testimony. One of the few times that I've strongly felt the Spirit in Hmong. She bore testimony that if he asks God, that he will tell him what to do, and he just has to have the courage to do it, even if that means disobeying his father and being baptized. Man, it was amazing. I love Kang, and I love the Xiong family so much. Really powerful experience.

Sunday was awesome too, the Xiong family came to church, so we decided just to go to the Hmong branch. There was a baby blessing in the branch, and tons of people came!! Last week, we had like 20 people, and this week we filled up the whole middle rows of the chapel, and people were sitting on the side benches too. It was a nightmare for translating, because we had like 40 people needing translation and only 6 sets of working translation. And we gave some to the 3 old niam tais (grandmas) who only speak Hmong, but then they gave theirs up to the people who speak English, but then the baby blessing was in English and they didn't understand it... but that's ok. Still could understand through the Spirit hopefully. But we had like 7 investigators come to church.. Which was a miracle because we had had nobody come to church the past 3 weeks.

I've been focused a lot lately on following the Spirit, and it has been really good to feel the Spirit more in my life, or at least to try harder to recognize it.

My invitation for you guys is to ponder what your baptism MEANS to you. That was what we focused on during zone conference. Not what happened, but what it means to you today. Pretty deep question.

Love you guys! Have a great week! Choose the right!

tau koob hmoov

I seriously love Camp Far West. It's a part of the Wheatland ward that is like fields and has a few mountains, about like 5 or 10 minutes to the east of Wheatland, and it is just so beautiful. I would totally live there someday, even though most of the people who live there like have a bunch of animals and tons of chores and what not.

WEEKLY EMAIL

MAY 28, 2018

Hey family! Things are going well. Thanks for the letters and the package with food and cookies. Too much junk food, but I appreciate the homemade cookies haha. But really though, I appreciated the food so thanks a ton, haha. I'm not complaining.

This past week, I really enjoyed being a missionary! Like i just had a really good time, despite the hard things going on with investigators and the work. We did a whole lot of service too. We helped the Martinez family again, and then we were able to really help one of the members, Brother Capps, move some rocks on Saturday for like 3 hours. We went out to his house. He lives clear out in Camp Far West on this big hill. We did a quick photo shoot out there because it is so beautiful. We didn't have any investigators to sacrament, but we did find 3 new investigators, and we had like no time. We were super busy this past week.

We taught Juan again this week. It was a good lesson. He is like our only English investigator... and then on Saturday, he basically dropped us... but like, it wasn't from lack of effort or teaching with power on our part, I think. We always could have taught clearer or better, but he also used his agency... so, we're currently in the market for some new English investigators, haha.

Our Hmong investigators are doing well. We had a really cool experience. Finally, we were able to meet with this one Hmong grandma we had been trying to see. We got in, and she talked a lot about her family and how she wanted her children to become Christian. She's had a lot of hardship lately cuz her husband recently passed away, and she just farms all the time. So we were able to teach some of the plan of salvation, and gave her a Book of Mormon and it was just really promising and exciting, and I felt the Spirit as we were helping her and it was awesome. So that got me super excited.

Zone conference is coming up this Wednesday. I don't know too much else to talk about. It would be boring if I wrote everything. This week I really took some time and mapped out my vision for my mission, what I wanna do and how I want to serve, and then made some good plans for doing it. So I'm excited to do according to my vision. I would say, what I learned the most this last week was just to enjoy life despite the hard things that are going on, or despite the slow work. Love you guys, hope you have a great memorial day!

WEEKLY EMAIL

MAY 21, 2018

Hey family! This past week was pretty good! Kind of short on time today because we are having a BBQ at the stake center for preparation day today! It should be pretty fun, and since we are the only missionaries with a truck, we were in charge of picking up the grill from a member, so short on time...

But anyway, this past week seemed to go by so quick. I've been feeling lately like we've been working really hard and have been really busy, but it has seemed like we haven't been getting anything done... which is ok I guess, cuz I think we're really trying our best to work hard and effectively.

Tuesday we had a lesson with an old Hmong grandma again, her name is Ntxawm. Cool story, so last time we had invited her to like pray to know if the Book of Mormon is true, and so we got back and asked her how it went and she told us this story: She went outside and knelt down and prayed, and she held the Book of Mormon in her left hand, and the Restoration pamphlet we gave to her in her right hand... and then, she prayed to know which book was true. Something got lost in the translation, hahahaha. We obviously explained something a little off, but hey, from our perspective, it was a win-win. So after she prayed she went to sleep and she had this super weird dream and basically felt like she got her answer that it was the right one, which was the restoration pamphlet. So we tried to help her see that that means that Joseph Smith is a true prophet, and we invited her to come to church, but she can't come because she has to take care of her husband who is really super old. But that's ok, one obstacle at a time.

Also had interviews with President this past week, which was awesome. He just always tells me exactly what I need to do better, like holy cow I love that guy so much. Then Sunday was stake conference, so we got to hear him speak and man it was just so awesome. Stake conference was really good, focused on ministering to the one and not being so focused on the numbers and what not.

We had one of our members bring her non-member husband, so that was cool. Also, we found a new investigator this past week; he was a former that Elder Gunsay and I were never able to meet with. So that's promising. Lots of good stuff going on in the area right now, even though nobody is on date. That's been the struggle for the whole zone though. We haven't even had 1 baptism in like 2 months, but we will just keep working hard! Also, we are going to go to Kennith's piano recital to support him tonight, so that will be cool.

I don't know if I have much else. We had a good lesson with Juan this past week. He isn't really progressing now though, hasn't been keeping commitments, and so we brought a member and had a real solid lesson. The Xiong's are still doing well. Also had another way cool lesson with a different Hmong grandma. We taught her how to pray and she did for the first time. So that was cool. The Lord is really blessing us, even if the key indicators don't necessarily reflect it...

Love you guys, have a great week!!
Love,
Elder Muaj Koob

Here's a cool picture of the plan of salvation that me and Kennith drew.
